Size Guide

At Perlezienne, each piece of jewelry is passionately crafted in my workshop in Sélestat, to offer you a unique and perfectly fitted item. To help you choose the ideal size, here is a detailed guide.

Measuring your size: My advice

For an accurate measurement, follow these tips:

  • Measure at the end of the day: Your fingers, wrists, ankles, and neck can swell slightly throughout the day.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: Do not measure your fingers if they are very cold or very hot, as this can skew the result.
  • Take several measurements: If you are unsure, measure 2 to 3 times to confirm the size.
  • Prefer accuracy: If you are between two sizes, it is often better to choose the larger size, especially for rings.

1. Rings: Find your perfect size

Ring size is essential for comfort and to avoid losing it. In France, we use French sizing, which corresponds to the circumference of your finger in millimeters.

How to measure your ring size:

  1. With an existing ring:
    • Take one of your rings that fits well on the desired finger.
    • Measure its inner diameter with a precise ruler or caliper.
    • Refer to the correspondence table below.
  2. With a tape measure or paper strip:
    • Wrap a thin strip of paper or a tape measure around the base of your finger.
    • Mark where the paper/tape overlaps.
    • Unroll and measure the length of the strip to the mark in millimeters. This is the circumference of your finger.
    • Refer to the correspondence table below.

2. Bracelets: The perfect fit

For optimal comfort, your bracelet should be neither too tight nor too loose.

How to measure your wrist size:

  1. Take a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper.
  2. Wrap it around your wrist, just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear your bracelet.
  3. Note the measurement in centimeters.
  4. For a fitted bracelet: Add 1 to 1.5 cm to your wrist size.
  5. For a looser bracelet: Add 2 to 2.5 cm to your wrist size.

Standard bracelet sizes:

  • Extra small (XS): 15-16 cm
  • Small (S): 17 cm
  • Medium (M): 18 cm
  • Large (L): 19-20 cm
  • Extra Large (XL): 21+ cm

Each bracelet description will specify its length in cm. If the bracelet is adjustable, this will also be indicated.

3. Necklaces: The right length style

The length of a necklace determines where it will fall on your décolletage, thus influencing your look.

How to measure the desired necklace length:

  1. Use a measuring tape or string.
  2. Place the start of the tape/string at your collarbone (or where you want the necklace to begin).
  3. Let it fall to the desired length on your décolletage.
  4. Note the measurement in centimeters.

Common necklace lengths:

Length (cm)

Where does it generally fall?

35-40 cm

Choker

40-45 cm

Princess (standard)

Each necklace description will specify its exact length in cm. If the necklace has an extension chain, this will be mentioned.
